Player response to the 2011 WA State Grasscourt Championship has been fantastic

Player response to our tournament has been fantastic, we have nearly 300 entrants which is around 20% up on last year, with over 600 matches to be played.

The headline player is Brydan Klein ranked 14 in Australia; Brydan is a former winner of the Australian Open Junior Boys event and the only WA player to have played Davis Cup for Australia. Former MLTC Classic Champions in Brett Patten one of the world's best over 35 players and Rhys Johnson at the other end of the scale the Number 1 WA junior and one of the country's best, have also entered.

Marisa Gianotti who has international tennis experience heads the seedings for the Ladies Singles and last year's winner Teiwa Casey is the second seed. Also in the field are Anja Dokic, Ivana Vojinovic and Maddison Inglis who recently won the Australian 14s Team Championships.

All in all there is going to some great tennis played.
